can you help?

One of our community's parents is in desperate need of a bone marrow transplant to save her life. The likeliest match would be African-American but all are asked to get tested. If you might be able to help or know someone who would like to, please visit this website created to help save her life. It has links to the National Registry. You can even swab your own cheek at home and send it in for results.
I have taught both of her beautiful children and it is breaking the hearts of our entire community that the family is going through this pain. Thanks to anyone who is able to help this woman or any other person suffering.

I was tested at least 7 years ago, but your post made me remember that the registry probably doesn’t have my current contact info, so I updated it online. Thanks for the reminder to all of us…
i tried to register online. i am too fat to help. that sucks
i will keep her in my prayers.
I signed up for my kit. Fingers crossed…
Thanks for posting this, Briar I’m not eligible (damn cancer!), but was surprised to learn that the donation process is done through blood now, not that tough surgical procedure! I hope that encourages millions more to register. So sorry that it’s one of your parents going through such an ordeal. I hope they find a match.
Let me see what I can do. I am way passed due for signing up for a marrow registry, anyway.
What a powerful and great post, Briar. Nicole and I both discussed it and decided to sign up. What a miracle it would be if either of us are a match for your friend. And I do believe in miracles. If not, hopefully down the road we will match someone. I know I sound all gushy but really, wow. This is testament once again about how important this community is. Chances are very likely that you just saved a life with this post.
