grateful still
Posted: November 30, 2009 Filed under: Uncategorized 3 Comments »Thanksgiving was crappy and angry and full of the bitter spirits and we were productive but in bad moods and we didn't get to do much of anything fun and I can't say we had a good four days.
And now we are all in various stages of The Sick, which I haven't really properly shaken since early October. Wes is at the end of a hacking cold, I am just falling hardcore into it again and the poor baby is in excellent spirits all day but coughing so much at night that he can't sleep.
All that said,
I am still ever so grateful.

It’s hard to not be profoundly grateful.
Thanksgiving has never been my favorite holiday. It seems forced, and too much work, and the row is almost part of the tradition. It certainly is according to TV. Besides, by the time the magnificent feast rolls out, I’m never hungry after a day of snacking. The best part, to me, is my mom’s special colored crystal glasses. That, and the liquor where the 5 o’clock rule doesn’t apply.
Hope you kids are feeling better soon. We were recently a house of sickness and I feel your pain. xxoo
