but not a drop to drink
Posted: October 3, 2008 Filed under: Uncategorized 6 Comments »A couple of months ago, I participated in Motherhood Uncensored’s Blog the Recession post contest. If you posted on the topic of the recession, you were entered to win any of a number of really fabulous prizes. I had my eye on the Amazon.com gift card, or the one from wine.com, or even the car seat. But I never win anything so I didn’t think much more about it.
Imagine my surprise when I won something!
I won the water.
I laughed about this. It made a good story, how I won water. I was pleased to have won something that could definitely be used. Wes was glad it wasn’t anything from the list that was handmade, which scares him.
They got my info and said they would be sending it.
They sent a coupon, which arrived today, for one case of water. And a lovely letter describing this great company and how they are making bottled water where the plastic is made from plants, not crude oil. Awesome, awesome.
So I went to the website to see where I could go redeem my coupon.
The answer is: nowhere. This water is not sold anywhere near me at all. All that fortuitous winning stuff, to no avail.
Anyone want some water?

Bummer about winning something you can’t redeem! That completely stinks.
It says there are 2 places in my town (podunk Idaho of all places!) that sell it…I’m surprised you can’t find it close to you.
sucky…..I can’t find any locations near Philly either! sounds awesome though..
i went to the website and there is a place to buy that water about 5 miles from me. sooooo, if you are looking to give it away, i would be more than happy to take it off your hands! funny that you cannot find a place to buy it in NYC, but i can get it in VT!!
Nothing here, either. Heh.
looks like its a midwest thing
Must be a midwestern thing. There are 12 locations within 5 miles for me!
