the reveal

The first floor of our home (living room and kitchen and small bathroom) is now done! I spent today trying to unpack. Unpacking is considerably slower with a baby involved.

I wish I had good before pictures. Those who have been here understand the dramatic transformation.

Kitchencu

Thepit
That hole to the basement will be covered up tomorrow with a giant sheet of wood so basement construction/pipe replacement can begin.

And now… the hideous bathroom.
The before pics are here.

And now:

Sink
The world’s smallest sink – you’ll remember that I couldn’t fit by the one that was there before.

Shower

The shower was a perma-mildew fest and is now so, so pretty.

Toilet

Had to show the contrast from old toilet to new.

Wow. It’s just lovely. I’m really happy for you–I know having some things finished in the house will improve life all-around. Yay.

    a) Wow. And I thought MY bathroom was hideous. What a change! Lovely lovely tiles. And the Toto? Swish!
b)The kitchen is awesome. We’re almost finished with ours, just waiting a ridiculously long time for Hole Depot to put in the counter top. My new favorite hobby is to sit on the couch and stare at the kitchen. I am totally with you on the excitement thing. I like the light fixtures.
    c) Unpacking is overrated.
    WAHOOO!
