He’s beautiful. If you’re still having such a frustrating time with the breastfeeding, get thee to a lactation consultant. It’s painful at first, but after awhile either the nipples toughen up or you get used to it or something. Try to get as much of the areola in his mouth as you can (an LC can show you how to shove it in if you don’t know how)… it’s amazingly less painful that way, and easier for him to get the milk out. Hang in there with the BFing. Before you know it, you’ll be a nursing team together and you’ll just pop him on and off with ease. Everyone has a tough time in the beginning! It’s so rewarding and worth it! Sol is one and a half years old, and we’re down to about once a week now as he’s been losing interest the older he gets. I miss the closeness of it and watching him go into his milk coma. Focus on the wonder of your body continuing to support him, and the special intimacy of nursing that is unlike anything else in the world. Best of luck to you!
ok. i confess.
i was very close to kissing the computer screen when i saw this picture!!! the cheeks and the little blonde eyebrows!!!
thanks for sharing your handsome boy with us!
No offence, but I’m (slightly) looking more forward to seeing him than either you or Wes the next time I’m up that way. But only a little bit. I think about all of you every day.
Made an awesome dress from 2 yards of on-sale fabric but am worried I'll screw it up in the finishing. #winterbreakproblems1 month ago
Here is what you missed in the last four months: me working, kid singing/reading/writing, husband cleaning, Star Trek TNG streaming Netflix. 1 month ago
