Even though I tried to be reasonable and thrifty and say that we would just continue with these sticks for comparison until a beta, Wes really likes it when the digital says, "Pregnant." I have to go to Target anyway….
I wish there was a stick I could pee on that would tell me how many chromosomes it has.
This is so confusing to me. So it looks a little darker? That means, maybe, yes?
I’m sorry, mactechwitch. It involves a lot of math and chemistry. Half-lifes and such. But yes. At this point, we just want to keep seeing dark. Which was the cause of this morning’s sudden concern. Just have to keep hoping… and peeing.
Some might ask, “Why? Why pee on things that are just going to cause you to sway drastically, dramatically, miserably back and forth through your emotions for several days on end?”
And to them I say, “Why not? What the hell else am I doing?”

And like not peeing on sticks will in any way stop you swaying drastically, dramatically, miserably back and forth through your emotions for several days on end anyway?!?
At least you get to create pretty pictures with them.

The darker than lighter then darker thing is truly a mystery. But it happened to me with this last cycle. I was chalking it up to chemical and planning yet another pity party when the next day it got a little darker again. Ever so slighly. Still so so so light. But I ave to say that your lines are very visible across the computer! I’m excited for you guys! I have such a good feeling about this! : )

Don’t overanalyze the light/dark thing. It can vary from test to test, depend on the concentration of your urine – it’s really not reliable. As long as there’s a line, you’re good. When is your beta?
And while we’re making requests, I’d like a stick I can pee on to tell me that there’s a heartbeat and, if so, how many.
holy. we’re back on!! whew! standing by again for your next pee and i agree with the others, a line is a line is a line. i get that you had the hcg in your system from the shot but didn’t that line disappear or it wasn’t there so clearly like last time? what fun would this be if it wasn’t a rollercoaster from the very beginning. it’s going to be such a wild ride anyway so why not start right now? when is that beta appt? and meanwhile pee on some more sticks woman!!
I am very glad Wes needs to see the “pregnant” on the digital. Don’t waste your time just buying one test. Get several brands so you can compare. And skip the FRER, I had terrible luck with those even when a beta confirmed definitely pg. 5 days early my ass. Anyway, this is very cool. And I agree with whatthef*ck, a line, is a line, is a line. Dude, this is looking pretty, um, um, better than discouraging.
(Sings) The stick will be dark, tomorrow, bet yer bottom dollar that tomorrow, pee will work;
Tomorrow, tomorrow, TOOOOOOOOOOOOMORROW,
And so on.
Ooohh… pretty dark line!
Yeah, what Carrie said, PLUS pee in a cup and test them all with the same pee. That way you are using the same whiz for comparison. Oh, and save the digi for last. It’s so decisive that after that, the others aren’t quite as much fun.
well, the cheapies maybe do continue to be fun on consecutive days after the Very Posititve Positive….if only to say, holy fuck, still knocked up! and then you can keep then on your toilet tank cover like we do. still. but i’m guessing wes wouldn’t like that.
oh, and i’ll insert another yawn here, just for fun. and the observation that, um, you’re pregnant.

When is your blood test schedules for? I assume after the weekend? It will be good to see those results. Try to remember that the Penguin Incident was a stitistical anomaly – it is highly probable that this time everything will be 100% fine (thank goodness).
