stalk my chart
Posted: November 10, 2006 Filed under: Uncategorized 9 Comments »So… my temperature is still up. In fact, if I believed that dressing like a nun really could cause immaculate conception, I would call this a rocking pregnancy chart. As it is, it is freaking me out. 17dpo today. Maybe…
So come on, then. We haven’t stalked each other’s charts in, what, years now? Remember how fun it was to stare at the charts of strangers and think critically about their cervical mucus? Is it any less fun now that we are all bitter and tired and not strangers anymore? NO! Please look at my chart. And let me explain…
Those of you not into posts about my reproductive system, um… go read the chair post again. It’s hilarious.
Now then. I have been basing everything on the one day that I got noticeable ew fluid on cd11. That is the only day this whole cycle that anything happened fluid-wise, but it’s also a day that I didn’t temp, since I was sick and asleep until late. When I put in a dummy temp around my usual O temp, FF calls that ovulation day. The other difficult piece is that I don’t really go looking for mucus anymore. Laziness, hopelessness, not insemming this cycle… you know. Still, I always have such things pop out at me, if you know what I mean. So I think it highly unlikely that I had any other fertile cervical fluid and didn’t know it. The only other day that I think could be O is cd18 – there’s an OK temp jump on cd19 but not spectacular. The temp jump from Sat to Sun most recently should probably be discounted, as I drank non-stop Sat night and only got a few hours of sleep both Sat and Sun night. I think those are a bit falsely inflated.
17 day luteal phase? O on day 11 or later? I would tell you all about past patterns to help guesses along, but post-miscarriage charts seem known to be incredibly different. All I know anymore is that I seem to have ovulated after the MVA and that I then had a 15 day luteal phase.
And… can I just be ultra-paranoid and ask… if there was still some sort of growing tissue inside me, would it elevate my temperature? Am I dying?
Thank you. What would I do without someone to help me with these things?

I vote for Ovulation day is later. CM can sometimes be off (since when is any of this a science?) You are on day 28 of your cycle – your cycle length varies – I vote for day 16 or 18 as your ovulation day which would mean that you are on luteal phase day 10 or 12 – you still have plenty of time!!!
It’s all hard, but hang in…there – Jade
Um… what Jade said.
I was thinking maybe CD18 could be your O day as well. As all of us know, you can have a patch of totally fertile mucus, have it dry up, and then O later. (Dammit, I sure as hell did that the cycle of our first insem, which is why our timing was f**ked up.) I definitely feel like I see what could be a thermal shift after CD18. I can see where there could be one at CD11, too, but my suspicion is that you may have O’d later.
And I’m always happy to stalk a chart.
As I sit here, on CD41, with blood nowhere in sight, I can honestly say that I should not be giving you advice, on anything chart related. I just watned to say that I don’t think you’re dying.
Your cycle is probably just off, still. That’s a more rational conclusion that the one where you’re dying. I have ew stuff off and on, random days, and I am not o-ing (that stands for ovulating, not orgasming just to be clear). I hope you start a new cycle soon. Sorry you have to wait… and wait some more.
Thank you for the reminder of (truthfully) fun it is to “read and figure out” other’s charts.
You are only on day 28 of your cycle, but I’d say you actually “o’d” a day or two after the scant ewcm. Which means, you still have a few days to go before the hag shows up.
And even if your FABULOUS pad has central air, yada yada yada, NYC area apartments get ALL wonky and shit with heating issues this time of year, so early am temps aren’t the most reliable from November to February. THose boilers get turned on at 4am to “warm up” the room for the 6am wake call – Bugs the CRAP out of me, truth be told, but as memory serves, it’s a recipe for a mucked up chart…
I vote for CD18. I never go digging for CM any more, so I bet it’s possible that you had some and just didn’t know it. Especially if you ate lots of candy and dehydrated yourself over halloween or whatever other crackpot theory I can think of. As for dying well, I’d think your temp would be way up. Or way down. So I’m going to vote “no” on that.
Well, I’m going to be a pain in the ass and say, could just be anovulatory weirdness. Which sucks, but could well be true after a dead baby. In my limited experience, temps do not correlate with bizzare tissue growth, but betas do. So if this drags on and continues to drive you crazy, you could get a beta from the midwife or the RE. However, I truly doubt anything of a growth-type weirdness is going on, so that suggestion is not meant to cause panic. Just an option to help ALLEVIATE panic. Anyway, I think you’re stuck in the horrid, godawful, indefinite waiting, and I am sorry. Bleah.
And yes, the chair post was excellent.
I vote for CD 18 as well, or somewhere from 16 to 18…that would make it a few days before your period will come
WOW ya’ll.
i hope you are all around and willing to stalk my charts when i start ttc in a few years… [i have been meaning to chart my cycle for several months, to see what my cycle is like, BEFORE i start the ttc process]
so whats the best way to track your cycle???
is there a webpage or something that ya’ll are gathering at?
thanks!

PS – bri, i am sure you arent dying, as the person who started your temp would be very high or very low is correct! you can trust me, i am in nursing school
