was really very nice. We had a wonderful sunset over Lower Manhattan and our bridge.
Wes got my very favorite cupcakes in the world (Cupcake Cafe – far better than Magnolia, in my opinion). They are absolutely gorgeous, too.
And then we had the movie with a view.
A very satisfactory birthday night, indeed.
Wes is currently out letting GMB practice his driving. His Motherf***ing DRIVING, guys! Holy crap. I am so not ready for this. The next one isn’t going to be allowed to drive.

I did ask M if the weather in The Heights was good – he said it was, so I knew you’d had a good night.
As for the next one not driving, just stay in NYC and they won’t need to! My aunt lived 64 years without learning…
Sounds like a wonderful night. That middle cupcake’s decoration is amazing!
Wow- those pictures capture what I can only hope was a very special birthday. & Those cupcakes look too good to eat. (& I am glad to know that I am not the only one who finds Magnolia cakes overrated! They are too sweet for me.)
sounds lovely. I wish I had been there. Well, I’m off to somewhere in Arizona.
