birthday month

The Pacific Ocean always makes me weepy. Moreso when I am surrounded by three of my best friends from high school and some spouses and an embryo. So here I am on the first day of my birthday month, the ocean at my back, my GMB playing Hearts with a small crowd, my Lissa finally not nauseated and eating ravenously as she enters her second trimester. I made guacamole for an appetizer and soon we will move onto stuffed artichokes, seitan and green beans, brown rice, and steak from the grill for the carnivores. I’m on my third Stella Artois and finally figured out why I feel sooooo tipsy already – I started Clomid today. Fuckit. Supposedly it makes you get drunker faster but I don’t have to go anywhere tonight. Tomorrow we are kayaking in Tomales Bay and hoping to see baby harbor seals.

For now, we are in for the night,

people are appreciating my iPod mix,

and my Lissa, my Asia and my Notorious Crazy Uncle Zach are all here with me.

Happy July.

Is your birthday in early or late July? I know you told me, but I forget. Just had some friends over for P’s birthday, and the babes slept through the whole thing so it was like an actual real party — all to say that we missed having you with us. But it sounds like a wonderful vacation you’re having, and I hope you enjoy the rest of it as well!

Happy Birthday. Who knew Clomid with a beer chaser could have such a pleasant effect? You deserve a good time–I’m glad you’re having one. Take care of you.
