the universe…

hasn’t gotten word of my new and improved outlook.

They are sold out of the donor we wanted until late June.

Back to the #^@$#$@)^%#% drawing board.

Crapity crap crap crap, Bri. Tell them to piss off. Well, no, but sheesh!!

  2. Cali says:

    what????
    is there a plan B? (
says the girl who is on her 4th donor)

  3. JB says:

    Fuck! I’m really sorry.

We are terrible with Plan B’s when it comes to donors (this is our 3rd). We are so, so, sosososososo picky about it that there is usually only one donor possibility at any given bank. We have no allegiance to one place, so we are constantly shopping around and having to figure out the procedure to purchase at new places. Add in the crap paperwork of registration, the fact that we aren’t thrilled with any other available options, and the fact that we need this to be shipped ASAP, and it has made me feel pretty fucking hopeless about this cycle. But we’ll see. Long profiles should be shooting through the ether as I type. Maybe. Or else no one will get my messages and emails and I will have to wait until Monday and I will very likely scratch out someone’s eyeballs.
I would now like input from the fertility crowd as to the wisdom or lack thereof of using the donor we have been using – we’ve given it 4 tries but now I’m all greased up from the HSG (ew). If all else fails, should we go with that rather than skip the cycle?

    Oh hell, I’m so sorry.

  6. That sucks ass. I am so sorry, my friend.
If you can’t get another donor I *would* use the previous donor one more time due to the HSG and your new outlook. This seems like an auspicious cycle (despite the sold-out donor and Wes’s accident — they add the “drama factor” which seems to correlate to success for a lot of people) because of the springness and the attitude and the HSG so I would not want to skip it myself. But then I never was one to skip a cycle, rational or not. So take that as you will.

Has the other donor gotten anyone knocked up?
If yes, I’d say stick it out.
If no – I’d compromise on some donor characteristics and take advantage of those greasy tubes.
Perhaps I’m just telling myself this b/c we didn’t even look at the long profile for our last donor, but I tend to come to down on the nurture side of things over nature.

    sucks is an understatement

  10. Estelle says:

    Well that sucks. I’m sorry.
