i’ll work after lunch

It’s parent teacher conference day and I think we all know what that means for a special "specialist" like me – uninterrupted work time. No, I’m just kidding. Uninterrupted crapfest is more like it!

OK. I have worked a little, I have unpacked a box, talked to one kid’s parents and attended a one hour meeting with one of my bosses. That’s not THAT bad for a morning. I’ve certainly done worse.

But considering I had planned to get through weeding at least half of the Dewey Decimal System, it’s not looking so good.

This week I am the judge of Photo Friday and the theme is cute pets. So obviously, Wes and I are both judging. People are already posting like mad, whereas normally they only just start to appear on Friday morning. We have QUITE a decision ahead of us, ladies and gentleman. But don’t worry – I made the rules state that we were eligible to win so if push comes to shove…

In other news, I had a whole night with NO, count ‘em ZERO, tantrums! I know. I’m proud of myself, too.

And in other, other news, it is 11 days until we leave for Istanbul.

And also Project Runway, one of my favorite shows, has ended and I actually wanted the mean asshole guy to win because I loved his dresses. He didn’t win. Hmph. Mostly I am just sad that I have now lost yet another one hour period when Wes will actually sit still with me and refrain from cleaning of any sort.
