May? How did that happen?

How can it be that I have three more weeks to finish all the biggest work of the school year and still hold exciting, curriculum-driven weekly library classes? What happened to November? I like November. And February… that was a nice month. No major work hanging over my head, plenty of blog time…
Then again, in November, in February, it seemed ages until Time to Get Pregnant.
Now it is less than three weeks away and there is a lot to be done. Tons. Doctors to call and appointments to make and medical credit lines to secure. Vials to order. Documents to notarize.
And so here we are in crazy, crazy May. And while it seemed like the school year zipped by,

okay wait, what is going on. are you getting pregnant? when did time rapidly accelerate and this become even possible that my friends are TRYING to get knocked up. jesus.
thank god i am coming to town next week so i can see into your eyes before you become mom-briar. well then again, you’ve always been mom-briar. hopefully the post birth-giving mom-briar is pretty similar to the pre-birth-giving mom-briar, cause she’s just great.
also — do you all you non-LA people know about KCRW, the best radio station in the world? In LA it is 89.9, but they stream live broadcasts, and archive amazing live 40 minute sets that they record everyday. it is all on line, and it is all free. Morning Becomes Eclectic and Jason Bentley’s Metropolis are the best shows.
Also — Amoeba doesn’t have girlymanboy, what’s up with that?

but I was listening to Eliot Smith today too. And AC/DC.
i’ll give you Morning Becomes Eclectic for the most part, but sometimes Nic Harcourt gets on his Lillith Fair kick and i want to beat the crap out of him. that’s when i reach for Jonesy’s Jukebox.
