Wanna know a secret?

I am trying to write a short story. For the first time since college. It is hard.

I was inspired to try by finding a contest in the British Harpers we picked up in the airport on the way back from Europe. I have never entered a contest. I have never been published by anything more than my college literary magazine, and then only because I was friends with the Editor.

It makes me very nervous just thinking about it. Luckily the deadline is very, very soon, so I don’t have time to worry about it. I’m just trying to do it.
